I was watching an old episode of Sex and the City.
In one scene, Carrie is writing on her laptop. This is fairly normal. But, I noticed that the apple logo on apple macintosh laptop computers has been flipped round on newer apple computers .
So, it’s gone from being the correct way round for the user of the laptop, to being the correct way round for everyone else to be able to see it when the lid or screen is flipped up.
The apple macintosh has gone from being a treat for the individual to an ignoble icon of conspicuous consumption.
